Why does Mountain Mover Ministries, Inc. exist?

Mountain Mover Ministries Statement of Purpose:

(The Super 8’s “Ates”)

1- Facilitate: Provide a place where students can reside to develop in their Christian character and walk.

2- Regulate: Provide a disciplined, regimented environment to protect a student from negative influences.

3- Evaluate: Determine with the student where they are at, and where they need to be.

4- Eradicate: Help students get rid destructive habits in their lives.

5- Educate: Provide instruction and counsel that will help student live as a successful Christian in society.

6- Elevate: Help student achieve higher levels of Christian character.

7- Motivate: Challenge student to make a commitment to applying their identity in Christ to all areas of involvement.

8- Activate: Provide opportunities for community involvement, occupational activities, and Church participation.

Goal of Mountain Mover Ministries, Inc. of Star Valley, Wyoming

That upon completion of the program graduates will be able to function as a successful Christian in society; that biblical principles relating to family relationships, church relationship, community, and employment will be learned through the teachings and life experience opportunities provided through the program.

Structure of the Program

During the 30-Day Challenge phase the focus will be on helping the student separate from those things that impeded his Christian development and on developing Christian foundational fundamentals. All food, lodging, and transportation will be provided for the duration of the program. Classes, counselling, church attendance, and ministry activities will be required. There are four learning contracts that must be completed to graduate the 30-Day Challenge. If a student does not successfully complete the four learning contracts in 30 days, additional time may be added to his stay so that he can graduate the program.

Graduates of the 30-Day Challenge can apply to participate in the five-month Trainee Challenge Program. The Trainee Challenge phase emphasizes continual Christian accountability and discipleship while a student participates in work experience opportunities. All tuition for this phase of the program will be self-generated by the student through his work experience opportunities. A portion of funds generated from the work experience part of the program will be made available to the student upon graduation for transitional expense needs. Assistance with future employment opportunities will also be offered.

All residents need to cooperate with the following rules of the program:

  • Residents must practice good Hygiene.

  • Residents are responsible for their own belongings. Lost, stolen or damaged items are not the responsibility of MMM.

  • If a resident breaks or damages property of MMM, other residents, or staff, they will be required to replace it.

  • Appropriate attire is required for all outings, especially church. No clothing will be allowed that is demeaned inappropriate.

  • Television, radio, tape player, CD player & games must only be utilized according to MMM guidelines.

  • A student may be able to possess a cell phone, but usage needs to be in accord with MMM guidelines.

  • Mail is permissible. (Phase #2 Only)

  • Visits must be pre-arranged at least one week in advance. (Phase #2 Only)

  • Complaining about the program, staff, facilities, etc. will not be tolerated.

  • Styles that are considered extreme may not be allowed.

  • Respect is to be shown to leadership and fellow residents. If a disagreement arises it must be dealt with in an agreeable manner.

  • Work is to be done without complaint.

  • Students are required to keep their living quarters neat.



1- Have a desire to be in a structured Christian program and a willingness to follow rules with a good attitude.

2- Make a commitment to complete the entire program.

5- A Tuition fee of $1000.00 is due at intake for the (30) Day Challenge program.

There are two phases to the Mountain Mover Ministries Program.

Phase #2- Trainee Challenge.

MMM Rules & Guidelines

Mountain Mover Ministries, Inc. is a program doctrinally affiliated with the Assemblies of God based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. Each person is responsible for chores and participating in scheduled daily activities.

Mountain Mover Ministries, Inc. is an adult ministry. Those desiring to participate who are under 18 years of age, will be dealt with on a “case by case” basis, and must have permission from their legal guardian to enter the program.

Dismissal

A student who demonstrates a non-cooperative attitude or is involved in any major infraction is subject to immediate dismissal from the MMM Program.
